Bigger workspace, or a lighter bag?
The screen size is measured diagonally. It does not tell you how sharp, bright or comfortable the display is.
13–14 inches
Often a practical travel size. Check keyboard comfort and whether your apps feel cramped. An external screen can improve desk work.
15–16 inches
More room for documents and side-by-side windows, with more space needed in your bag. Verify weight rather than assuming every large-screen laptop is heavy.
Quality matters too
Resolution, brightness, reflections and text scaling affect usability. For creative work, colour accuracy matters. A touchscreen is a separate feature and should be checked on the exact model.
